ASUSTek unveils P565 phone in Thailand

ASUSTEK Computer (Thailand) Co., Ltd. has today announced the launch of P565 smartphone in Thai market.

Equipped with an 800 MHz processor, which is the fastest in the world, ASUS P565 features the latest touch-driven user interface “Glide”, enabling its users to switch between tasks rapidly with their fingertips on the 2.8-inch touchscreen, running at a high resolution of 480 x 640 pixels.

The P565 also comes with a potent suite of business-oriented features and software, including push mail, business card recognition and Microsoft Office Mobile. Other useful applications such as Anytime Launcher and Multi-Home enable users to view their calendars, the times of local and visiting cities, weather reports, online news and much more.

ASUS P565 comes with 256 MB Flash memory and 128 MB DDR SDRAM, in addition to the expansion slot for microSD with SDHC support, WLAN (802.11b+g) connectivity with USB v1.1 (FS) and Bluetooth 2.0+EDR.

It also includes a 3-megapixel main camera with auto focus and a 300-Kpixel as secondary camera for video telephony.

ASUSTEK Thailand has set the price of P565 at 21,900 baht, inclusive of value-added tax.
