PAR JV wins 3rd contract of Purple Line rail project at B6.4 bln

A Thai joint venture of Power Line Engineering Plc, ASCON Construction Plc and Ruamnakorn Construction (Thailand) Co Ltd yesterday won the third bidding of the Purple Line mass transit project for the construction of a maintenance centre and four park-and-ride buildings at 6.399 billion baht.

Sino-Thai wins 2nd contract of mass transit bid for B15.3 bln

Thailand’s third biggest builder, Sino-Thai Engineering and Construction Plc (STECON) on Thursday won a tender to build a northwestern part of  the “Purple Line” mass transit project with the lowest bid of 15.32 billion baht.

Airport rail link service to commence on Aug 12

The 30-billion-baht rail link between Suvarnabhumi Airport and the main terminal in Bangkok is expected to put into use on August 12, commemorating the birthday of Her Majesty the Queen.
Transport Minister Sopon Zarum on Friday told reporters that both the infrastructure and operating system of the Airport Rail Link (ARL) project has been completed by 98 percent and will be ready to offer services in mid-August as planned.

Ch Karnchang-Tokyu Construction JV wins Bangkok mass transit bid

The joint venture of Ch Karnchang Plc and Japan’s Tokyu Construction yesterday won the bid to build a 12-kilometre electric train line linking Bangkok to neighbouring Nonthaburi province.
CKTC Joint Venture of Ch Karnchang and Tokyu Construction bid some 16.72 billion baht for the first part of Bangkok’s 36-billion-baht “Purple Line” mass transit project while the closest contender, Sino-Thai Engineering and Construction Plc, quoted at 17.1 billion baht and Italian-Thai Development Plc at almost 17.92 billion baht.
