Siam Cement Group (SCG), Thailand’s biggest industrial conglomerate with over 300 billion baht of total assets, on Wednesday reported a net profit of 6.84 billion baht, an increase of 32 percent from the previous quarter but a fall of five percent from the same period last year.

Kan Trakulhoon has been appointed as the president of Siam Cement Plc (SCC) since January 1, 2006, almost 29 years after joining Thailand’s biggest industrial conglomerate right after graduation.

Kan, 53, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Gold Medal, First-Class Honors) from Chulalongkorn University and Master’s Degrees in Engineering and Business Management from Georgia Institute of Technology, USA.
