Thailand’s largest energy firm PTT Plc on Monday reported its 2009 net profit of 59.5 billion baht, an increase of 15 percent or 7.8 billion baht from that of 2008.

Thailand’s oil and gas giant PTT Plc last Friday reported that its net profit during the second quarter of this year fell by 33.4 percent, when compared with the same period last year, to about 19.9 billion baht.

Thailand’s oil and gas powerhouse PTT Plc yesterday reported its net loss of nearly 22.19 billion baht for the fourth quarter of last year, resulting in a drop of 47.1 percent in net profit to 51.7 billion baht for the entire 2008 from the previous year.
