TrueMove to launch 3G iPhone next month


TrueMove Co., Ltd. plans to lauch 3G iPhone in Thailand on January 16.

Suphachai Chearavanont, president and CEO of TrueMove, today announced that the company will offer pre-registration for 3G iPhone to consumers via “” or “” in order that this group of people can collect their 3G phones at the launch event during January 16-18 at the Royal Paragon Hall, Siam Paragon shopping complex in Bangkok.

Supachai said “The launch of iPhone 3G is a clear indication of our commitment to roll out 3G services in Thailand so users can fully leverage the outstanding capabilities and features of iPhone 3G.”
3G combines iPhone all the revolutionary features of iPhone plus 3G , Wi-Fi and built-in GPS for expanded location-based mobile services, and iPhone 2.2 software which includes support for Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync and runs thousands of third party applications available through the Apple App Store.
TrueMove, a subsidiary of True Corp, is the country’s leader in wireless internet services with over 16,000 hotspots nationwide, covering Bangkok and over 50 provinces.

As a special feature for 3G iPhone customers, TrueMove will enable auto-login to the Wi-Fi network, so customers only need to login with their username and password once and can then automatically access the TrueMove Wi-Fi network whenever they enter a hotspot.

TrueMove will offer 24-month price plans for 3G iPhone customers, starting with 8GB model at 6,999 baht upfront and 1,199 baht monthly fee. Those with pre-registration who can made payment by credit cards will only pay a minimum of 1,399 baht a month for the same model.
